EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Las Cruces Fire Department crews quickly contained and knocked down a motel fire on Wednesday night. Sept. 10.
Firefighters were dispatched to a commercial structure fire shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday to the Coachlight Motel, located along the 300 block of S. Motel Boulevard, according to the news release by Las Cruces Fire.

When crews arrived at the motel, they found heavy smoke and fire at the front door and windows of a downstairs unit.
Firefighters quickly began to attack the fire and were able to contain the blaze to the one unit, according to Las Cruces Fire.
The flames were brought under control within 15 minutes, but Las Cruces Fire says the unit is considered a total loss.
Las Cruces Fire said the cause of the fire is under investigation and there is no estimate of damage at the time of reporting.
