EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Las Cruces City Art Board (CAB) and the Quality of Life/Public Art are celebrating art throughout October with Las Cruces Public Art Month.
The CAB and the Las Cruces Public Art Program created events and activities to create “awareness of the link between artistic expression and quality of life that highlights our city’s culture and creative community,” read the news release by the City of Las Cruces.

Here’s a list of events that will be happening:
- Oct. 1 – 31, Curators of the Lost Art Scavenger Hunt
- Scan, listen and win prizes throughout the month and be entered into a drawing for the Art of the Covenant grand prize.

- Oct. 3, Earth and Cosmos with Glenn Schwaiger
- 5:30 p.m. at La Placita Downtown
- Join us for an artist talk with Glenn Schwaiger, the creator of the beautiful mosaic walkway in Downtown Las Cruces.
- 5:30 p.m. at La Placita Downtown
- Oct. 22, A Chat with Anthony Pennock
- 5:30 p.m. at Rio Grande Time sundial on the Downtown Plaza
- Join us for a sit-down chat with the illustrious home-grown artist whose talent has helped define Las Cruces as a public art destination.
- 5:30 p.m. at Rio Grande Time sundial on the Downtown Plaza
