EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD) will be holding a news conference at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at Las Cruces City Hall located on 700 N. Main St., to discuss the death of a Las Cruces Police officer.

LCPD Patrol officer Jonah Hernandez, 35, was stabbed shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, after responding to a trespassing call on the 300 block of south Valley Drive. Hernandez was transported to Mountain View Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
The news conference will be televised live in standard definition on CLCTV, Comcast Cable channel 20, and in high definition on Comcast Cable channel 928. The news conference will also be live streamed at clctv.com and on the City’s YouTube channel.
