KTSM News – Las Cruces Police: 1 seriously injured after shooting

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A man was seriously injured after a shooting that happened on Sunday evening, Feb. 9, in Las Cruces, the Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD) said in a news release.

LCPD said officers responded to reports of a shooting at about 10:40 p.m. on Feb. 9, at the 600 block of west Picacho Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found a man in his mid-20s who had been shot at least once, LCPD said.

LCPD said the victim was taken to the University Medical Center of El Paso where he remains in critical condition.

The suspect is described only as a male with no other additional information, LCPD said.

The Criminal Investigations Section of the Las Cruces Police is investigating the incident.

LCPD is asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information related to the shooting is urged to contact Las Cruces Police at (575) 526-0795.
