EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A 34-year-old man was seriously injured after being stabbed at least once on Sunday, Feb. 16, in Las Cruces, the Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD) said.
LCPD said shortly after 5 p.m. on Feb. 16, Las Cruces Police and Fire departments responded to the report of a stabbing victim at a business on the 300 block of South Telshor Boulevard.
First responders arrived to find a 34-year-old man with at least one stab wound, LCPD said.
LCPD said the victim was unconscious and in critical condition when he was taken to a local hospital. His condition remains the same as of Tuesday morning, LCPD added.
Investigators learned the stabbing likely occurred near the intersection of Telshor Boulevard and the entrance to several businesses in that area, LCPD said.
LCPD said that after being stabbed, the victim walked to a nearby business before collapsing to the ground.
LCPD said its following several leads but has not made an arrest in this case yet.
