EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Las Cruces Police are asking for help in identifying those who are responsible for striking and killing a pedestrian this past Saturday, Nov. 1, in Las Cruces.
Police say at around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, they were dispatched to a pedestrian crash at the 2200 block of North Telshor Boulevard.
First responders arrived to find a 47-year-old man suffering from multiple injuries who died at the scene.
Traffic investigators learned that the man entered the roadway going east to west across Telshor Boulevard when he was struck by a Chevrolet Impala that was headed north.
The initial impact knocked the pedestrian into the southbound lane, where he was struck by at least one other vehicle that was heading south.
Police say it’s possible that multiple southbound vehicles hit the pedestrian.
The 24-year-old driver of the Impala was not injured, remained on the scene, and has been cooperative with the investigation.
Police say other drivers did not remain on scene and continued heading south on Telshor, and say it’s possible that other drivers did not know they struck the pedestrian.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information on other vehicles involved is asked to call Las Cruces police at (575) 526-0795.
