LCPD said the RTCC will use real-time information and technology to help law enforcement personnel better respond to priority callouts.
RTCC technicians will monitor live-feed cameras, radios and data systems on calls for service that are in-progress, providing data and situational awareness assistance for officers in the field, LCPD said.
LCPD said the department will be hiring five technicians and current sergeants and uniformed officers will also be part of the RTCC.
Applicants must have at least an associate’s degree plus two years’ experience in criminal justice or in a similar law enforcement environment, LCPD said. A combination of education, experience and training may be applied to meet the requirements per the City of Las Cruces policy, LCPD added.
