KTSM News – Las Cruces public health office provides back-to-school vaccines

Posted on July 14, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The New Mexico Department of Health’s Las Cruces Public Health Office will provide free back-to-school vaccines for all children 18 years old and under this month, the Department of Health said in a press release on Monday, July 14.

The Department of Health said vaccines will be administered from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, through Friday, July 25, and from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Monday, July 28, and Tuesday, July 29 at the Las Cruces Public Health Office at 1170 N. Solano Avenue.

Parents need to bring their child’s shot record and insurance card, even though vaccines are provided at no cost. No one will be turned away if they don’t have insurance, the Department of Health said.

“The vaccinations are available through the Got Shots immunization campaign organized by the New Mexico Immunization Coalition, which includes NMDOH and the New Mexico Primary Care Association. This year, more than 65 community health centers, public health offices, and private practices across New Mexico are participating in Got Shots,” the Department of Health said.

Immunizations by appointment are available from July 17 to July 22. Call (575) 528-5006 for scheduling or questions.
