EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A Las Cruces teen won the title of Miss New Mexico Teen USA in August and now goes to compete against 50 other women to compete for the title of Miss Teen USA 2025.


Ava Lyonne Kincaid won the title of Miss New Mexico Teen USA on Aug. 17 and now goes on to compete for the national title.
“This title isn’t just a crown for me; it’s a microphone to amplify youth voices and show kids in New Mexico that their potential is limitless.”

Kincaid began competing in pageants as a child and now plays college volleyball at New Mexico Junior College in Hobbs, New Mexico, on a full-ride athletic scholarship.

Kincaid has also created a community-driven organization called “Project Open Doors,” which is dedicated to providing resources and support to those in need.
“Their mission is to channel time, energy, and resources into giving back to their
community. The organization aims to build stronger, more connected neighborhoods through
meaningful service and support,” the press release said.
The competition for Miss Teen USA 2025 will be held on Oct. 18 through Oct. 24, live from the Grand Theater at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.
“The Miss Teen USA pageant is part of the Miss Universe Organization and uses its
global reach to empower women, encourage them to be self-confident, and continue to strive to
be the best they can be. Delegates are savvy, goal-oriented, and aware of world events. These
young ladies compete with hopes of advancing their personal, professional, and humanitarian
goals, yet also seek to improve the lives of those around them,” the press release said.
