EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of Las Cruces is offering an opportunity for high schoolers to learn about City departments and how they impact daily life.
During the LCPS Fall Break, high-school students can attend the City’s Developing Youth Leaders Academy from 1 to 4 p.m. October 6-10.
“Students will dive deep into the inner workings of the City of Las Cruces and discover the roles that different departments play in shaping our community. This unique event offers a behind-the-scenes look at how the City operates and provides an opportunity to meet the dedicated professionals who make it all happen,” the City of Las Cruces said.

- Interactive tours: Explore various City departments including Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Police and Fire
- Hands-on Activities: Participate in activities designed to show the day-to-day functions and challenges of City operations
