KTSM News – Learn about VA benefits at ‘pop-up’ events in Southern NM

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Veterans in Southern New Mexico can learn about Veterans Affairs benefits they may have earned at a couple of “pop-up” events next week.

The events will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10 in the parking lot of Stires Super Market, 304 McCombs Road in Chaparral, and the same hours on Wednesday, Dec. 11 in the parking lot across from the Sonic Drive-in at 110 Elm St. in Anthony.

Veterans, their families and friends can learn about VA benefits including VA health care eligibility and enrollment, suicide prevention efforts, VA home loans, housing assistance and other resources.

The pop-up events are being organized by the Las Cruces Mobile Vet Center and the El Paso VA Health Care System.
