EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 41-year-old man was arrested after having an outstanding warrant and trying to cross into the U.S. through the Ysleta Port of Entry last Wednesday, Sept. 3, according to the Horizon Police Department.
Police say they responded to the border crossing just after 2 p.m. after being notified that a man who was later identified as Daniel Lucero, 41, was trying to cross into the U.S.
Upon arrival, officers met with Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and a records check revealed that Lucero had an active outstanding warrant for indecent assault out of Horizon City.
Lucero was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $5,000 bond.
