KTSM News – Man arrested for allegedly physically assaulting woman during argument in Horizon

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 39-year-old man was arrested earlier this week for assault family violence in Horizon City, according to police.

Mitchell Erick Avila, 39

Mitchell Erick Avila, 39, was charged with assault family violence causing bodily injury with a $2,000 bond. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility, according to the Horizon City Police Department.

Shortly before 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, officers responded to a residence on the 700 block of Danube Way about a family violence incident in rpogress.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported that Avila had physically assaulted her during an argument.

Following the investigation, Avila was subsequently arrested.
