EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 37-year-old man was arrested after he stabbed and killed his dog near a dumpster on Wednesday morning, Sept. 17, in East El Paso, according to El Paso Police.
Police say they responded that morning to Sand Pebble Apartments located on 11280 Pebble Hills in reference to animal cruelty in progress.
The investigation revealed that Kevin Garcia, 37, had stabbed a 6-year-old female husky multiple times near a dumpster, which was observed by a witness who called the police.
Throughout the investigation, police obtained evidence that implicated Garcia in killing his dog, police said.
Garcia was arrested and charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals under a $25,000 bond and was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
