EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with last Friday’s shooting, June 20, at Nations Tobin Park in Northeast El Paso, El Paso Police said.



Police say Robert Joseph Privett, 22, has been identified as a suspect in the shooting and is being charged with the murder of Jose Jesus Gonzalez Jr., 34.

Police responded to a report of a shooting just before 9 a.m. that Friday morning at Nations Tobin Park at 8831 Railroad Drive.
Upon arrival, officers located three men suffering from gunshot wounds, including Gonzalez Jr. All men were transported to a local hospital, where Gonzalez Jr. died as a result of his injuries.
The Crimes Against Persons unit was able to identify Privett as a suspect in the shooting, and a warrant was obtained for his arrest.
Privett was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $1 million bond.
