EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 26-year-old man died Thursday morning, March 20, after a shooting in Fabens, Texas, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.




The Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded just before 2 a.m. on Thursday to the 100 block of Mezcla Street in reference to a shots fired call and that an aggravated assault had occurred.
Deputies arrived at the scene and found Aaron Villa, 26, with multiple gunshot wounds, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Life-saving measures were initiated and Villa was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Crime Scene Unit, and the Texas Rangers are currently on scene and calling this incident a homicide.
The Sheriff’s Office says there are no active threats to the public, and the investigation is ongoing.
