EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 43-year-old man was stabbed and killed when he tried to intervene in argument onboard a Sun Metro bus on Thursday night, May 2, police said.
The incident happened at about 6 p.m. along the 1600 block of Texas Avenue.
Police said through their preliminary investigation, they learned that an unknown suspect was arguing with a woman on a Sun Metro bus when the victim tried to intervene.
During the altercation, the suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim, who has not been identified by name.
The suspect exited the bus and fled the scene, police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
Investigators are asking the public to help in identifying the man responsible for the stabbing.
