KTSM News – Mobile home fire in Las Cruces results in 1 person dead

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — One person is dead after a mobile home fire on Friday night, Aug. 29, in Las Cruces, according to the Las Cruces Fire Department.

Las Cruces Fire crews were dispatched to a structure fire shortly before 9 p.m. Aug. 29, along the 3300 block of Conlee Drive.

According to Las Cruces Fire, crews arrived to find the fire with high heat and no visibility in the mobile home.

Firefighters were able to remove the victim and bring the fire under control within 20 minutes. The fire was contained to one mobile home unit.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene, according to Las Cruces Fire.

One firefighter suffered a minor burn on their hand.

Las Cruces Fire said the cause of the fire and damage estimates are still under investigation.
