KTSM News – Monday 9-hour forecast: Showers, thunderstorms make way on Labor Day

Posted on September 2, 2024

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – It’s Labor Day and many of you have the day off. However, if you have plans to go out, the day is going to be gloomy with chances of showers and thunderstorms.

While the warmest temperature will be a high of 81 degrees, the morning will start off cool in the mid 70s. Chances of showers and thunderstorms are expected at a 30 percent with winds ranging 10 to 15 mph east and gusts up to 25 mph.

With showers and thunderstorms lingering all day, mostly clear skies are expected after midnight. Drive with caution as a strong low level east flow will bring more moisture across the Borderland. With clouds and showers approaching El Paso, high temperatures will be well below normal, especially east of the Rio Grande Valley.
