KTSM News – More storms threaten El Paso area on Saturday, then clearing out

Posted on September 13, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Happy Saturday, Borderland! It was a wet start to the weekend with rain showers and late-night storms hitting a good portion of El Paso and Las Cruces through the evening into the overnight hours.

Looking at the rest of Saturday, the chance to see severe storms after 4 p.m. through midnight remain as moisture and an unstable atmosphere persist. The low will be near 69 with winds coming from the west around 10-15 mph. Gusts can be even stronger once storms enter the system and the chance to see hail remains a threat.

For Sunday, conditions stabilize with mostly sunny skies and a high near average around 90. Winds will be light, and the low will be around 66.

Rain and storm chances return Monday and Tuesday with the highs in the low 90s, upper 80s. The lows will be in the upper 60s.

Wednesday through Saturday conditions appear to be mostly sunny with the highs in the low 90s range.
