KTSM News – More T-showers ahead as fall arrives Monday in El Paso

Posted on September 16, 2025

A Severe T-Storm Warning was issued this afternoon for Horizon City and surrounding areas due to wind gusts in excess of 60 mph and quarter size hail. That warning expired at 4:15 PM. We still have a chance isolated area showers and t-showers until around 8 PM. Then, skies will slowly start to clear overnight.

We’ll have another chance of isolated showers and t-showers on Wednesday. Here’s your exclusive 9-Hour Forecast with your 9-Day Forecast below.

TONIGHT:   The skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with isolated area showers and t-showers.  Some storms have the potential to produce brief, heavy rain.  Overnight, the skies will start to clear up as the showers fade away.  The low will drop to 67, and the SE winds will range from 5-15 mph.

FORECAST:   Wednesday will be partly to mostly cloudy with isolated area showers and t-showers.  Wednesday’s high: 89.  The SE winds will range from 5-15 mph.  Thursday will be partly to mostly cloudy with a high of 90 with scattered showers and t-showers.  Some storms may produce brief, heavy rainfall.  Friday will be partly to mostly cloudy with scattered PM showers and t-showers.  Brief, heavy rain and lightning will be (once again) a concern for Football Friday night.  Saturday will bring the potential of stronger t-showers and brief, heavy rainfall.  Saturday’s high: 93. The long-range data have changed dramatically, which means a lot more sunshine starting on Sunday.  Sunday will be partly cloudy with a high of 93.  Fall officially begins Monday at 12:19 PM.  Monday will be sunny with a high of 91.
