EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Mt. Cristo Rey Restoration Committee is inviting the public to the Good Friday hike this weekend.
Mt. Cristo Rey will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Good Friday, March 29. Gates will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 30.
Mt. Cristo Rey is located on 1 Cristo Rey Rd, Sunland Park, NM, 88063.
Security and first aid will be present at the organized event, according to the Restoration Committee.
The hike is about two miles long and the trail is open to all ages. The Good Friday hike is the second-largest event Mt. Cristo Rey holds.
The largest event is the annual pilgrimage on the last Sunday of October.
