EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A new wildfire dashboard was launched on Thursday, June 20, that will provide real-time updates and critical information on the South Fork Fire and the Salt Fire in Ruidoso, New Mexico, according to the Office of Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham.
Grisham’s Office says the dashboard is designed to keep residents informed and enhance public safety during wildfire season.
Grisham’s Office also says the dashboard offers a “comprehensive overview of current fire conditions, including fire perimeter maps, evacuation zones, air quality reports, and weather forecasts” which can help residents stay updated on the latest developments.

The Governor’s Office also says a community meeting will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 20 and the community is invited to join the meeting via live stream on the Southwest Incident Management Team 5 Facebook page. A Facebook page is not required to join the live stream.

“This meeting will provide an opportunity for residents to receive updates from fire officials and learn more about the ongoing efforts to combat the South Fork and Salt fires,” the Governor’s Office said.
