KTSM News – New Mexico roadways still impacted by Trout Fire

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Roadways in the Silver City, Pinos Altos, Lake Roberts and Mimbres areas are still being impacted by the ongoing Trout Fire, the New Mexico Department of Transportation said on Sunday, June 22.

New Mexico Highway 15 is closed in both directions from mile marker 17, 10 miles north of Pinos Altos, to mile marker 22, 15 miles north of Pinos Altos. The roadway is being used for evacuations only.

NM 35 is closed eastbound from mile marker 0, at NM 152 to mile maker 27, about a half-mile south of NM 15. Again, the roadway is being only used for evacuations.

NM highways 152, 356 and 61 are no longer being impacted by the fire and have reopened, NMDOT said.
