EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has appointed a new magistrate judge to serve in Dona Ana County, her office announced Friday, March 29.
Jannette Mondragón has been appointed to serve on the Dona Ana County Magistrate Court, the governor announced.
Mondragón’s appointment fills the seat left vacant when the Judge Rebecca Duffin was appointed as Third Judicial District Court judge.
Mondragón is a graduate of New Mexico State University and the University of New Mexico School of Law.
Most recently, Mondragón provided legal representation in child support cases on for the State of New Mexico. Previously, she was a staff attorney for the Border Immigration Law and Justice Center and served as a senior trial attorney for the 13th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
Mondragón’s appointment starts on April 27.
