EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — One person is dead in a plane crash in Doña Ana County on Tuesday afternoon, June 25, a spokesman for the New Mexico State Police said.
Bill Provance, the airport manager at Doña Ana County International Jetport, said the plane originated at the airport in Santa Teresa and crashed west of Chamberino on the mesa.
The downed aircraft was an agricultural plane on a training mission, he said. It had one pilot onboard, Provance said.
