EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — New Mexico State Police Uniform and Crime Suppression Bureaus made 274 felony arrests, 129 DWI arrests, recovered 20 stolen vehicles, seized 39 firearms including nine that were stole and found two missing people during the month of February.
Those were some of the highlights from statistics the State Police released on March, 6.
Other notable statistics for February include: 396 misdemeanor arrests; 14,991 traffic citations issued; 60 pounds of fentanyl seized; 25 pounds of powder fentanyl seized, 13 pounds of methamphetamine seized; 75 pounds of cocaine seized; 35 grams of crack cocaine seized, 11 pounds of heroin seized.
“The New Mexico State Police remains dedicated to continuously enhancing public safety and fostering positive relationships with those who call New Mexico home. New Mexico State Police will continue to conduct proactive operations across the state throughout the year,” State Police said.
