EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – New Mexico State University President Valerio Ferme will join KTSM 9 News anchor Andy Morgan during the 6:30 p.m. newscast Monday evening, Oct. 6 to discuss his first several months leading the university.
Ferme, who became NMSU’s 32nd president in April, has already had a busy start to his tenure. In just a few months, he has hosted New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham for an official campus visit, broke ground on a $15 million media production facility, aimed at attracting film and television projects to southern New Mexico, and appointed a new athletic director, a former NFL player, to lead the university’s sports programs.
Monday’s interview will offer insight into President Ferme’s vision for NMSU, his early accomplishments, and the challenges and opportunities ahead for the university.
