EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Fabens Independent School District responded on Thursday, Sept. 18, to an allegation regarding a potential weapon on one of its campuses, the district said via its Facebook page.
However, the district said the situation was addressed “swiftly,” and the safety of students and staff was ensured. No weapon was ever found on campus.
“We ask all parents and guardians to please take time to discuss safety with your students — including the importance of reporting concerns right away.
“The safety and well-being of our Wildcats remain our top priority. Thank you for your continued trust and support,” read the Facebook post.
