KTSM News – Nobel Prize winner in economics to talk on climate change

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A Nobel Prize winner in economics will be making a presentation next week at La Nube on what is being done to address climate change, according to the Rotary Club of El Paso and UTEP.

Robert Engle III, Ph.D., and winner of the 2003 Nobel Prize in economics, will make a presentation called “A Financial Approach to Climate Risk.”

The event will be at noon Friday, Sept. 20 at La Nube, 201 W. Main Dr.

The cost is $5 for general admission or $25 with lunch. Engle is a professor emeritus at New York University Stern School of Business. He will be introducted by UTEP Economics Professor Tom Fullerton.
