EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Clevy Muchette Nelson-Royster, one of two suspects in the murder of a Fort Bliss soldier in 2020 was acquitted on all charges by an El Paso Jury Thursday afternoon, Feb. 29.
Capt. Malcolm Xavier Perry, 27, was killed in October 2020 after the car he was driving was rammed, causing the car to flip and catch fire at N. Zaragoza Rd. and John Hayes St. in Far East El Paso.
El Paso Police allege Richard Mustapha Sennessie intentionally rammed his Jeep into Perry’s Audi.
Nelson-Royster was the passenger and owner of the Jeep Cherokee Sennessie was driving at the time of the fatal crash. She was also identified as Perry’s romantic partner by police in affidavits.
Sennessie is facing murder charges and his trial is set for April 8.
