EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Organ Mountain High School boys basketball team is just one win away from capping off a dream season with a state championship.
The Knights will take on No. 1 Volcano Vista in the finals of the New Mexico state 5A playoffs at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at the Pit on the University of New Mexico campus.
Both teams are 29-1 overall. Organ Mountain is seeded No. 2.
Volcano Vista has won the state 5A championship the past two years.
Organ Mountain beat No. 15 Roswell 79-70, No. 7 Los Lunas 57-32 and No. 11 Albuquerque 56-47 en route to the title game.
