EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Two charitable organizations, Icon to Ican and Plant a Seed, will be hosting their second annual Day of Giving event next week.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, at the El Paso Children’s Hospital, 4845 Alameda Ave., according to a news release announcing the event.
“We are excited to host our second annual Day of Giving to support the children in El Paso facilities,” said John Hartsfield, Icon to Ican co-founder and co-founder of Icon Talks, a global social-entertainment enterprise. “We look forward to continuing our tradition of giving back to our beloved community.”
The event, which is a private gathering exclusively for El Paso Children’s Hospital patients, promises a day filled with joy and excitement featuring activities such as face painting, a balloon superhero backdrop, a toy giveaway, and more, according to the news release.
Both organizations are committed to enriching the lives of El Paso’s community members through their philanthropic efforts, according to the news release.
“Helping children and families feel loved and supported during difficult times is important to us,” said Wendy and Miguel Gamillo, founders of Plant a Seed.
