KTSM News – Pavement opens up after water main break in West El Paso

Posted on April 3, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A car appeared to be stuck in the pavement after a water main break Thursday morning, April 3, in West El Paso.

Video captured by our crews shows the front of the car stuck in the pavement and water leaking out into the road.

A spokesperson with El Paso Water says at around 7 a.m. an 8-inch water main break occurred at Executive and Mesa with water causing the pavement to open up.

Customers in the area may have low water pressure or no service at the moment and crews are working to stop the water and begin digging to get to the water line and make repairs.

No injuries were reported.

No further information has been released.
