Posted on November 16, 2024

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle along Interstate 10 early Saturday morning, Nov. 16 in Downtown El Paso, police said.

The crash happened at about 12:30 a.m. along Interstate 10 West at the Downtown exit, police said.

Police did not say if the pedestrian was killed or how badly injured they were. They did not release any information about what led up to the crash.

The Special Traffic Investigations Unit responded to the incident. This unit typically investigates crashes involving fatalities or very serious injuries.

All lanes of traffic along I-10 West at the Downtown exit are closed, the Texas Department of Transportation said. Thru traffic must exit the Piedras exit No. 21. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes. Minor backup is being reported. Clearing time is until further notice.

We will update this story when we learn more.
