EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A person was hospitalized after a mobile home caught fire Friday night, June 7 in Las Cruces, according to the Las Cruces Fire Department.
The Fire Department says just after 8 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a structure at 2501 El Camino Real in Las Cruces.
The Fire Department says upon arrival, crews found a single-wide mobile home on fire.
A resident was inside the mobile home when the fire began and was removed before crews arrived at the scene.
The resident was evaluated for smoke inhalation at the scene and was transported to a local hospital, according to the Fire Department.
The Fire Department says the American Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced occupants of the home.
The cause of the fire and damage estimates are still unknown.
