EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A person suffered severe injuries after they were rescued from the canal at the Border Highway Friday morning, Aug. 2, in South Central El Paso, according to the El Paso Fire Department.
The Fire Department says its water rescue team responded just after 4 a.m. at the Cesar Chavez Border Highway and Midway to reports of a person in need of assistance.
A person with severe injuries was then rescued and was transported to medical care, according to the Fire Department.
No further information has been released.
