KTSM News – PHOTOS: Damage after Beryl made landfall in Texas

TEXAS (KXAN) — Beryl made landfall near Matagorda, Texas, early Monday morning as a Category 1 hurricane.

Nearly 2 million Houston-area customers were without power Monday morning, and at least two people in Harris County died after trees fell on homes in separate falls, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Beryl was downgraded around 10 a.m. to a tropical storm.
