EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A private plane had to make an emergency landing on Wednesday, May 8 near Hueco Tanks State Park and Historic Site, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

DPS says that at 12:38 p.m., initial reports from air traffic control reported that the plane needed to seek an emergency landing.
At 12:51 p.m., troopers were dispatched to find the plane near Hueco Tanks, according to DPS.
DPS says two troopers found the plane and that it landed safely.
Passengers on the plane were located and no injuries were reported, according to DPS.
No other further information has been provided and the incident is under investigation.
