KTSM News – Playgrounds in Las Cruces to be replaced

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Playgrounds throughout Las Cruces will be temporarily closed for construction, according to the City of Las Cruces Park and Recreation Department.

The following playgrounds will be closed starting on Monday, March 24:

  • East Mesa Park, 5589 Porter Dr.
  • Pioneer Woman’s Park, 500 W. Las Cruces Ave.
  • Valchakis Park, 2800 Missouri Ave.

According to the City, the project is expected to last six to eight weeks and each playground is expected to take approximately seven to 14 days to complete.

The public is asked to follow all project postings and avoid designated work and staging areas, according to the City.
