Posted on December 16, 2024

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso County will be holding its “Plunge into 2025” event next Friday, Dec. 27, giving the community an opportunity to start refreshed for the new year.

The County says the event will be from 12 p.m. through 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, at Ascarate Park.

The County invites the community to dive into Ascarate’s Aquatic Center that Friday to feel invigorated for the new year.

Those who attend are asked to bring warm clothes to change into after plunging into Ascarate’s pool.

The pool will be open for the plunge and photo opportunities. The first 25 families to sign up will also get a free gift and every participant will receive a voucher for a complimentary 30-minute swim lesson to use during Ascarate’s spring 2025 swim marathon.

The “Lights on the Lake” drive-thru will also be on display, with the event beginning at 6 p.m.
