EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso County is inviting the community to the Aquatic Department’s inaugural swim lesson season, which begins next weekend.

The County said the season will kick off on Saturday, March 15, at Ascarate Aquatic Center, 6900 Delta Dr., with the swim lesson marathon.
This event is designed to help people assess their swimming skills while exploring the fundamentals of learning how to swim, the County added.
Half-hour swim lessons will be available every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the County said.
The County said every lesson will begin with a 10-minute skill assessment. Based on the group’s level, the session may be seamlessly transitioned into a full lesson for the remaining time.
Sign-up will be available on-site for each session. The lessons will be $5 per family/time slot, the County said.
