EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – In this week’s Que Pasa, Destination El Paso’s Lauren Falco and KTSM’s Karla Draksler featured Brave Books, a central El Paso bookstore celebrating National Book Lovers Week.
Brave Books has been around for several years now. It is situated in the heart of El Paso in an over-century-old house on Arizona Avenue.
On the shelves, you can find used books of all kinds, including comic books, local art pieces, and some from the personal collections of prominent figures such as Dr. Diana Natalicio, UTEP’s former president.
What makes Brave Books unique is its quirky interior and the bookstore cat, Yofi, who wanders around keeping the books safe and sound from rodents and thieves, as bookstore cats usually do.
The latest picks and events are on Brave Books’ Instagram page.
