EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Raising Cane’s will be celebrating “National Doggy Date Night” by donating over $3,500 to the Humane Society of El Paso.
The event will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3 at the Raising Cane’s, 675 Sunland Park Dr.
According to Raising Cane’s, the donated check will be from funds raised from six restaurants across El Paso.
“The support the Humane Society of El Paso (HSEP) has received from Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers over the years has helped hundreds of homeless dogs and cats receive life-saving medical care from spay/neuter surgery to rabies vaccines and so much more,” Courtney Roszak-Moore, HSEP director of Marketing and Community Relations, said. “On behalf of all animals who have called HSEP their temporary home over the years, we are grateful for Raising Cane’s passion for saving homeless pets right here in our Community.”
In addition to HSEP accepting the check donation, a few adoptable furry friends will also be in attendance to assist in accepting the check, Raising Cane’s said in a news release.
According to Raising Cane’s, the funds will be used to support HSEP’s mission to care for homeless pets and help educate the community about adoption.
From Nov. 25 through Jan. 5, the restaurant sold limited edition Plush Puppies, resulting in over $500,000 raised nationwide, Raising Cane’s said.
