El Paso police have released new surveillance photos of a man they call an “ATM thief.” The man who was captured on camera at two separate Wellsfargo automated teller machines is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from unsuspecting victims across El Paso.
The man, featured in a recent El Paso Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week, was caught on camera multiple times conducting fraudulent transactions at Wellsfargo ATMs since late January. Crime Stoppers of El Paso joined forces with the El Paso Police Department in urging the public to help identify the suspect who didn’t attempt to conceal his identity in the newly released images.

Described as a Hispanic male in his 30s, with a dark complexion and overweight build, the suspect has been linked to at least six ATM thefts. In one of the released images, he is wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the word “FEAR OF GOD STATE” on the front. In the second photo, the same man is seen wearing a cap with the words “Palm Angels” on the front. In previously released images the man appeared to be driving a newer model Volkswagen SUV, police stated.
“Through security video we know that someone is going to recognize the images of this subject,” said Javier Sambrano with Crime Stopper of El Paso.
