KTSM News – Reward offered for information on attempted ATM theft in Las Cruces

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces and Doña Ana County is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps identify the suspect responsible for damaging an ATM during an attempted theft in Las Cruces.

Just before 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, a suspect attempted to forcibly remove money from an ATM located outside First Savings Bank at 2804 N. Telshor Blvd, Crime Stoppers said.

The suspect was unable to access any cash. However, the suspect did cause an estimated $25,000 in damages to the ATM, Crime Stoppers said.

Anyone with information about this crime can contact Crime Stoppers. Tips can be submitted anonymously by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or through the P3 Tips mobile app.

If the information provided leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
