EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Santa may be about to start making his rounds across the world, but the good folks at Olight have been pretty busy too this holiday season.
Like I suspected, flashlight maker Olight had another sale just in time for some last-minute Christmas gifts.
The sale ended Monday, but you can still order for regular price off their website. Their lights are also available at Amazon. The downside to that is you don’t get any credit for Olight’s reward program by ordering from Amazon.

Anyway, my most recent purchase arrived Monday, in plenty of time for the holidays. Let’s take a look.
The main piece of gear in this haul is a Baton 3 Pro flashlight in a new colorway – brush strokes. It is basically olive-drab (OD) green with some white stripes that look like paint splatters. This is the first time I have ventured into getting what I suspect will be a limited run on a colorway.
From a more practical standpoint, I had been wanting a Baton Pro for about a year but it never seemed to be included in any of Olight’s sales. This time, I was in luck and when I saw they had it in a new colorway, I jumped at it when the sale began last week.
For the uninitiated, the Baton lineup is really what Olight is known for.
The Baton Pro is not a new light, coming out about two years ago.
While it is not one of the company’s latest offerings, it is considered a great tool for everyday carry.
It is just under 4 inches long and a little bit under an inch in diameter, basically just a little bit longer and fatter around than Olight’s i5T which is powered by a AA battery.
The Baton Pro, however, is rechargeable with Olight’s proprietary magnetic charger.
The light has a maximum output of 1,500 lumens with a 175-meter throw (nearly two football fields). I have brighter lights and lights with a longer throw, but for the Baton 3 Pro’s size, it really packs a wallop in a pretty compact package.

Overall, it has five levels of brightness, plus a strobe – turbo (1,500 lumens), high (600), medium (120), low (15) and moonlight (0.5).
The Baton 3 normally goes for about $70 on the Olight website. I got it for $40 with the new O’Pen Mini 2 included in a price-saving bundle. The pen is the second generation of Olight’s EDC pen. In addition to being a pen, it also has a pencil tip that can be accessed through an S-shaped bolt-action mechanism.
I have a couple of the first-generation pens. This one will be a gift to a friend who is a recent convert to how Olight can elevate your EDC game.
I also got a few other things in my most recent order.
I got two i3T 2 lights in pink. This is the second generation of one of Olight’s most EDC-friendly lights, which is powered by a AAA battery. The pink colorway is hard to get and typically sells out quickly. I am tucking these away as either last-minute holiday gifts or possible gifts that I can hand out during the coming year.

I also redeemed some points I had earned through Olight’s rewards program and got a free i3T light in plaid. I will take a closer look at that light in a coming column.
Of course, during any Olight sale, they send out a freebie with any purchase. This time, it was their i3E EOS keychain light in a new colorway called Auspicious Clouds – red with some Asian symbols, hearkening back to Olight’s roots as a company.
Not sure if that one will stay in my collection, or go out as a gift. Leaning toward the former.
