EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A semitruck fire is impacting traffic on Tuesday afternoon, May 20 along Interstate 10 east of Tornillo.
El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said a call came around 2 p.m. regarding a fire involving a semitruck and trailer at I-10 East at Mile Marker 59.
The right lane of traffic is closed. The Fabens Fire Department is on the scene as well as the Texas Department of Transportation and their HERO units.
Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes. Backup is reported as being minor. Clearing time is estimated at two hours, according to TxDOT.
