EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A Socorro Independent School District theater teacher recently received the El Paso Filmmaker Award for her feature film, Gloria, according to the district’s fine arts X account.
Jane Hambric Middle School teacher Hope Martinez’s feature film was shown at the Mexican American Cultural Center (MACC), where she received the award.
The film, featuring Apollo Dukakis and filmed in El Paso, focuses on Martinez’s grandparents.
