KTSM News – Socorro Police: 3 men arrested for 2023 shooting, 2 others arrested in unrelated charges

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Socorro Police Department have arrested five men on Tuesday, June 25. Three of the men being in connection to the 2023 shooting that happened at Jardin De Flores Park.

Adrian Alejandro Rosales, 20

Kevin Munoz Rueda, 20

Jesus Daniel Lara, 19

Alejandro Fuentes-Lara, 20

In collaboration with the United States Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, Socorro Police said they have arrested the following men in connection to the shooting:

Cesar Caldera, 19-years-old

Charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault (Mass Shooting), bond set at $600,000

Adrian Alejandro Rosales, 20-years-old

Charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault (Mass Shooting), bond set at $600,000

Kevin Munoz, 20-years-old

Charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault (Mass Shooting), bond set at $600,000

According to Socorro Police, the shooting took place on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023 at Jardin De Flores Park in the City of Socorro, located at 253 Flor Margarita Blvd.


Socorro Police: 4 men injured after shooting at park

Socorro Police said four individuals were hurt as a result of the shooting.

Afterward, the incident led to a “retaliatory” shooting in El Paso where two people died, according to Socorro Police.

Socorro Police say they have also arrested two other men with unrelated charges on June 25:

Jesus Daniel Lara, 19-years-old

Charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 (>=4G<400G), bond set at $35,000

Alejandro Fuentes-Lara, 20-years-old

Charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 (>=4G<400G), bond set at $35,000

“This investigation took some time, and unfortunately, in incidents like this, those involved are often reluctant to cooperate with the police. Despite these obstacles, our detectives were able to identify and arrest those responsible for the shooting,” said Chief of Police Robert Rojas.

Socorro Police say the apprehension operation was made in collaboration with various law enforcement agencies, including the El Paso Police Department Crimes Against Persons Unit, El Paso Police Department Gang Unit and the agencies assigned to the West Texas Anti-Gang Center.
